Why call anybody any color? White .. brown.. |
Or respectfully White, Brown rather. Sorry. |
|
What about King? King size? etc.. if you think masters owned the slaves? They so did he kings.
Oh.. let's not forget about.. mistresses'.. are we getting rid of them? Uuuu…. |
| I moved to a different part of the country and notice that here it’s always “owner’s bedroom” or “owner’s suite.” I assume they use owner, rather than master, to be less sexist since women buy and own houses too. But at least in some markets, master has been gone a long time. |

It’s not a joke. It’s actually happening...
“(CNN) The Houston Association of Realtors will use "primary" to describe bedrooms and bathrooms on its listing service and replace the word "master."“ |
|
I just worked with a Compass agent in DC and they use the term "owners" (suite, bedroom, bathroom) instead of "master". I am not an agent. The person was my Realtor and has been my friend for ages before that. I remember when she told me about the switch years ago when we were talking about her work. It's not too hard to make the switch. This was way before BLM.

| Actually Real Estate Commission is racist |
Stay on track or start a new thread. |
Great to hear. We need more realtors like your friend! |
Yes! See the post from 23:45 |
As in slave owners? We use principal bedroom |
I would live to hear the tortured thought process that came up with that. |
At end of civil war newly freed slaves were now required to get minimum wage. The railroads hired a lot of black porters and baggage handlers and got permission to pay less than minimum wage to the largely black workers claiming tips by customers who were largely white made up for it. The whole concept of not paying a fair wage and “making” up for it in tips and commissions paid by customers has racist roots. |
Oh this is clever! Had no idea. And this thread is stupid. |
It is subtly pointing out something that might be of particular interest to religious buyers, but that is hardly Jewish buyers only. |
