Agree! Plus, sounds like they adopted when marriage was falling apart

I guess what surprises me and feels different from 20 yrs ago is the excessively positive spin people put on announcing their divorce. I understand the urge to control the spin, or be positive and let people know you are trying to not be bitter and ugly. Or even the reality that both partners (or at least one) may really want this divorce. But it is a loss for children, it is often described as emotionally terrible and in general is a very big deal. The smiles are incongruent and don't match the loss.

I always hated the title of the book, "girl wash your face." It struck me as a terrible title and always elicited a sort of "girl...f off." type of reaction.

Yes, I've avoided her like the plague. It didn't sound like she was a person who should be giving out advice.

Yes, I got her books as a gift & didn't have any idea who she was until just now. But I sure had a reax to the book title!

But now you can all go read her books about making your divorce great!

It it sounds too good to be true....give it a few years and there will be a divorce announcement.

I hear you - but when I listened to her audiobook she says it in a gentle, big sister way. She says it to encourage you to get up when you're down, and to her, washing your face is one way to feel better.

I don't know anything about this woman or her blog. But let's try to have some compassion. People live in denial and/or cling to the hope things will get better. That's not intentional fraud - it's a human response to fear of losing someone you love. Anyone who has actually been married for more than 5 minutes and has an ounce of introspection gets this.

It’s intentional fraud when you monetize it and sell it to others.

There's a theory they're just doing this to sell their reconcilation and shill books and a new tv special on how to dane you're marriage. With influencers' business models in the toilet, and knowing the shady thins they do, I'm inclined to think there might be something to it
