Wash DC re-opening committee way off versus RoW

Bowser and the Committee are in triple-diapered CYA mode doing 50 person gatherings in Phase 4 versus everywhere else in Phase 2.

Clearly you don’t have kids in DCPS. They’re polling parents about what they are comfortable with next Fall.

That's irrelevant. Is Bowser polling families? Or is the school, so they can tell you that Bowser still has the 50 person rule so here's your funky Week A at home, Week B at school BS or indefinite virtual learning curriculum?

Schools can't really deviate from Bowser's criteria no matter what the survey results are, unless you sign a waiver sheet to waive liability of the school or school district for deviating from recs.

DC area schools are frustrated, was our take-away on a recent call.

However, if you are the type who doesn't want to go out until COVID is totally gone, you'll love this term!

Maybe there’s enough Special Snowflakes in DC who don’t want to attend school until there are zero risks of anything, that the rest of us can fit in the school building for school! Less crowded classrooms!

Do many people on this part of DCUM even have kids or care when or how schools reopen?

When are the retail stores opening?? I can't find the information as to when we go to Phase2.

i thought the point of all of this was the flatten the curve (not to wait until there's a vaccine)

Phase 2 is expected to start on Monday if trends continue. That will include some retail at reduced capacity.

Yes. It’s amazing what you can do in an homogeneous country that has high educational expectations and an emphasis on two parent households. Should we try that in DC?

Goalposts moved. But there will never be a vaccine,so there’s that.

Mass media moved the goalposts. Please stay inside indefinitely.

WHEN IS RETAIL OPENING??????

dC is the bottom of k-12 attainment, worst crime, high taxes, high obesity in half the city, huge generational poverty issue...

dC should just stay closed indefinitely. Half of it already is.

So glad retail is opening.
