Primarily symptoms that I would have any month, so no real “tells” there. The only one that was unusual was a growing aversion to arugula. I love arugula, but at that time I was far from home for the week and hitting up the same sandwich shop for lunch every day. My go-to sandwiches with arugula grew increasingly unappetizing over that week. By the time I flew home and was able to test (late period by that point), the idea of arugula fully grossed me out.
A heightened sense of smell. Everything smelled just a bit off. The metro tunnels were gag-inducing.

I was at a party at a brewery and the beer tasted bad. I told DH that the keg was messed up (we'd been there plenty of times and I knew what it was supposed to taste like). He tasted it and said it was fine. I got a different beer but that one also tasted terrible; again my DH confirmed that it tasted completely fine. I switched to champagne (tasted great!) but it was really weird.
At the time I just assumed it actually did taste disgusting but he was drunk and didn't mind, but I got a positive 2 days later and it made more sense then. |
Heightened sense of smell. People shoes made me gag. I could smell the leaves on a fig tree.

Mood swings
This gives me hope! I'm the poster above that's been having insane dreams. Tested negative this morning but I figured I would at only 6dpo. Hoping for a BFP this weekend! |
Nausea. Almost constant nausea.
sore boobs, and I had weird muscle pain near my pelvis, almost like my body was already getting ready to stretch out for baby
Crazy dreams! I NEVER remember dreaming or having dreams and the cycle I got pregnant, I started having crazy ones that I would remember when I woke up. Got my positive 3 days later at 10dpo.
Sudden fatigue when exercising.
With my last pregnancy, my legs felt like lead weights when I was out for a run. I went home and got a positive test that day (probably 9-10 dpo). This time, similar fatigue while running, but it kicked in a couple days later.
Nipple pain
Vivid dreams, low back pain, mild cramping, and exhaustion.
