Are you kidding? A nanny who take public transportation but uses a mask and gloves and changes her clothes and shoes when she arrives is MUCH safer than preschool! Daycare and preschool are germ factories! They pass around hfm, lice, flu... I don’t want to even think about how fast covid would sweep through! |
Where did I say WHEN I was planning to send her back? I will wait until our health officials tell us it's safe. It might be in the fall, it might be in spring. At some point I want my children to be around other children. I'm not scared of HFM or lice, been there done that. |
There is no evidence that COVID spreads from surfaces. Being around other people in an enclosed space is the best way to get Covid. Being somewhere where someone else sat 15 minutes ago is a very low risk. https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/how-covid-spreads.html OP, pay for Uber. If it still concerns you, get the nanny wipes for the seats and ask her to keep windows open and mask on while in the car. |

You don't know when, or if, pre schools will open. |
No to the chauffeur because of Covid-19, of course! ![]() |
Eh... or unless she wears a mask and gloves. Far, far, far easier to catch any virus from live people on public transportation |
Or how long the daycares/preschools will stay open. |
If she is so worried then she should stay home and take care of her kid. |
