We had our first play date yesterday. We were outside and it was glorious. We are not planning to have play dates with any other families (same is true for our friends). |
I am so with you. I posted a few weeks ago about hating my son’s f-ing trains. I still don’t feel comfortable with play dates, but oh how I long for them. |
Thank god DS has learned that Dad is good with pretend play, train play, car play, and the like. Mom is good with arts and crafts, reading, building marble runs/LEGO, and games. Both of us are good for walks and outside sports, although we tag team those. But I feel your pain because playing trains was killing me a few years back. I cannot imagine this craziness with a younger kid and how much time would have to be spent playing those types of things. |
I'm with you! I'm tired being told what to say, how to say it, being told i'm "not saying it right" and to say it again...Yet, I'm sure i'll be at the "pet store" later today..... |
OP you are not alone. Every day I'm taking breaks from work and playing Barbies and I hate it. My daughter has managed to suck all the fun out of it. We finally broke down and asked my mother to visit for 2 days every week. That gives DD something fun to look forward to/do, and my husband and I can work a full 8 hours without feeling guilty. |
Do some play dates. It will be fun. |
