Am I crazy? Considering Aruba or Puerto Rico in December.

Puerto Rico is the US. She is not re entering the US she is already in the US in Puerto Rico. That said they may have local restrictions. I'd go to Puerto Rico over Aruba. You will have protections as an American there. There are a lot more flight options too. |

NP I agree with this, too. I was hoping to go to PR this summer but as of now I read that the beaches are closed except for walking and exercising, no swimming. So unless/until that changes, we probably won't go. You could also look into St. Thomas, also a US territory. |

| I’m not sure about Aruba, but I would not trust PR to have a handle on the COVID situation. The local government is very dysfunctional. By the time they realize things have gotten out of hand again it would be too late. I have family there so I am very familiar with the corruption and incompetence. I love it there but going during a pandemic is risky. |

Aruba shut everything down a while ago. The island’s last known case of the virus tested negative yesterday. Should open soon, but the Dutch will shut it down again if cases dramatically increase. |
