| I'm debating between BM Cloud White and Swiss Coffee for my interiors - open concept so I'm worried I'll steer wrong with either too bright with the Cloud White or too beige-y with the Swiss Coffee. Any advice? |

SW Egret White.
We have it in our basement and it brightens up the space while looking very neutral. |

It's hard to go wrong with BM Simply White, especially if you are doing white everywhere and aren't worrying about precise coordination with a different wall color—though I should say I have it as trim in several rooms with different and strong colors, both cool and warm, and it's great with all of them. It does have a slight yellow undertone to lend warmth, but it does not read as yellow at all. It's consistent in different lights. This would be my top choice for a basement.
BM Chantilly Lace is a very, very white, slightly on the cool side. I really love it, but I have a large sample up right now which in certain lights goes just a little greenish. Especially if you are going to use cooler lighting (basically anything but incandescents) in the basement, I'd choose Simply White instead to preserve bright warmth instead of risking a more sterile brightness. |
| BM Super White. BM Simply White can give off a pinkish tone in the right light. Super White doesn't have any weird undertones. |
I third this suggestion. Used it in our study and was very happy with it! I’ve seen it described somewhere (?) as a white with no undertones. It wasn’t sterile though like that sounds |
| Don't paint it white. It will look institutional and dingy. Look at BM Paperwhite, which is a super light, airy gray. Also use the Regal flat that is washable. Don't use eggshell or it will look like a doctor's office. Good luck. |
| OP you need to paint swatches ultimately to see what’s right for your space, once you narrow it down. Sometimes what we think is the right color doesn’t do it |
