The thing that I hate about pizza

Stop thinking of it as an entree. Start thinking of it as a component of a full meal.

Two slices of thin crust, a salad or some sauteed peppers and onions, maybe some cucumber salad or pickles or something acidic, maybe some fruit. Maybe two slices of thin crust, a few slices of antipasto meats and cheeses? Get creative.

Stop thinking of pizza night as a plate of pizza.

Same but even two slices is too much. Why not just have one for the taste then fill up on salad or veggies?

I'm a vegetarian and even I think only having a slice of pizza and then filling up on salad and veggies is ridiculous. Just eat what you want, and take the time to fully appreciate it. If you feel gross afterwards, you probably were eating too fast, or not really focusing on the food such that you ignored the signal that you were getting too full.

Ok, someone needs to eat some pizza! And not two slices.

You can continue to mock me, that's fine.

I have never eaten an entire pizza, or any more than 4 slices on the extreme outside. I don't fear pizza, regret pizza, or fetishize pizza. It's just pizza. I enjoy it as part of a nice meal.

You continue to wax poetic about eating an entire pizza, or "not being able" to stop, or what have you. I'll continue to enjoy pizza, with no fear or regrets. It's just pizza.

Because that’s no way to live. Two slices is perfectly fine.

Yeah someone who has to say “it’s just pizza” four times in two sentences definitely sounds chill around pizza you 100% sneak downstairs to scarf it cold out of the box after everyone goes to bed

Same here. I guess I don't really know how much food normal people eat besides my immediate family.
It's kinda shocking.

I weigh 103 lbs and have eaten a large pizza. I don’t do it routinely. It’s really not that shocking. People like to eat.

Your stomach is too large. I'm a man and i would be sick if I ate 4 slices of pizza. The stomach is elastic. If you stop overeating it will eventually shrink (this will likely take months). If you overeat constantly, your stomach will grow and grow and it will take more and more to make you "full". One good principle is simply not to eat until you are "full" because you know you are stretching your stomach. This is the idea behind gastric bypass surgery but you can intervene on your own without medical treatment.

Same! Even my teenage boys won't eat more than two slices. I order an XL knowing it will be lunch the next day too.

Yes, I did. It's a slippery slope. You eat 5% more today. Stomach stretches. Next week you eat another 5% more. Within a year you're eating 30% more than you used to and packing on the pounds. The stomach is elastic.

If I could only have one food for the rest of my life it would be pizza....

Count me among those of you who could eat a large pizza and not blink. It’s me and my brethren who are chastising you other fools for thinking two pizzas is enough to feed 15 kids at a party.

I grew up in Chicago and worked at a pizza place for years. We’d always get to eat the pizzas that people ordered but never picked up. That job only paid $4 per hour, but the fringe benefits were amazing.

Ha, except your don't! This will drive you nuts, I am the eat a whole Blaze pizza pp! I am 116lbs! And I regularly eat a whole pizza. Have done so, and will continue to do so. And I am almost 50. Pizza is a whole meal to most of us. 900 calories in meat eater, for example. Leaves me plenty of room for two other meals. Why would anyone have fear or regrets about eating a whole pizza? People here be crazy!

Problem is not one pizza, problem is when you eat 5 pizzas per week.
