The fields are closed for health reason. Obey the spirit of the law for everyone else and be a team player for once in your life.

Walking/jogging is an individual- social distanced activity. Field sports are not.
If that's the case, why didn't school security personnel kick people of the field? Furthermore, the police didn't kick anyone off the field either. Why even have the law if neither the police or school personnel enforce it? What is the purpose of having the school track open and yet close the athletic field inside the track? Can you see how stupid that is?

We have a rather large turf field that’s not run by Fairfax county
So many folks working out and not much social distancing.
My daughter a teammates train over here 5 times a week.

Frisbee is not a social distanced activity?

I asked both the school security personnel and police officers TODAY when they drove by the school about athletic field is closed and if they are going to kick people off the field. Their responses: It is a "stupid" rule and we're NOT going to enforce this stupid rule unless there is an organize soccer game, 22 kids. Anything less than 10 people is perfectly fine.

Why are you looking for answers? There's no good rhyme nor reason for any of this.

CDC have just basically admitted that this thing is not much worse than the 'flu at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/planning-scenarios.html, where they show current best estimate at 0.4% fatality for symptomatic and 35% asymptomatic = 0.26% infection fatality rate compared to bad 'flu year of 0.2%.

So right now all these restrictions are just politicians trying not to look stupid for what they've already done.

But I agree it's very frustrating.

Know exactly who this dad is. If it’s ok to do so, have your DD and DS wear their club uniforms and see how quickly they’re reported. Don’t screw this up for everyone just because you think your the cool dad.

PP is such a clown. Why would anyone want to dress in club uniforms for pickup soccer game? Nobody will report you even if your kids dress in club uniforms as long as there are less than 10 kids playing on the field. I can assure you that even if people call in, law enforcement or security personnel will do NOTHING.

1. I haven't posted hundreds of times. I have posted four times (five if you count this response) on this subject, and only to object in response to other people posting either misleading information or expressing the sentiment that all rules must be followed blindly. You may think I have posted hundreds of times but, while it's possible that all the other messages are posted by a single poster who feels as I do and who has posted hundreds of times, I suspect there are actually rather a lot of people who feel the same way.
