Another 3 row suv question

We have a Mazda CX-9 with 3 rows and love it. We bought ours used and it was a steal.

And Kia dealers are marking them up over MSRP. Palisade can be found below MSRP, but no great deals to be had. Its a really tough segment to get that extra space and the XC90 is roomier than most (and gets great reviews, not sure what PP was talking about). Nothing will compare with the Yukon XL, etc though in terms of space - except a minivan.

Yeah we test drove one and liked it a lot but they seem to be in high demand right now. I'd wait for a while

We went from an Audi A4 to a minivan - I had 3 in car seats and SUV did not work. Minivan was 10 years old and starting to have some issues and went with the Hyundai Pallisade.

The trunk space is definitely an issue. I can not get my weekly groceries in without putting down a seat.

We have a rooftop carrier for long trips.

If you will have 3 kids and no dogs get a minivan. I had a Honda Pilot but had 2 dogs so cargo area primary use was them. I pulled up the 3rd row for carpooling only.

This! You will see this sentiment echoed over and over again. We have a 16 yo odyssey that is still going strong. Every few years, we think we need to upgrade but can't find anything that's comparable from a value perspective. A few mores years to go before all kids are off to college.

Even for the college years--if college is driving distance, minivans are absolutely invaluable!

We currently have two young kids (still in car seats) and are hoping to have a third. I am looking for 3-row SUV options. I’d really like to avoid a super large vehicle like the Yukon XL but want to make sure to have enough space down the road. I’d also like to avoid minivans but if they are truly the best option then I will consider it.

I was thinking about the XC90 since I recently drove one and liked it. However, I am concerned with 3 children, it would not be roomy enough for storage. Do I need to look for something bigger? I typically like Toyotas but did not care for the Highlander. I have also driven the Audi and Acura 3-row SUVs and the GMC Acadia and did not care for them. I also have not liked the Mercedes interiors that I have been in recently. Some options that looked good but I have not tried are the Lincoln Aviator, Chevy Tahoe, and VW Atlas. What else should I be considering?

Minivans win for gas mileage and cargo space. I think they are also easier to drive / park compared to a large SUV.
