DO NOT DO THIS. You can easily wind up in the ER which is obviously much less safe than a doctors office.

+1. My OB told me there is a risk of infection when removing these yourself. That is truly the last thing I would risk right now!

Seriously, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I would only do that if we were in the apocalypse, which are not and even then I'd find a nurse at minimum.
