| Loudoun has a substantial cost structure in place, between their directors/overhead staff salaries and the Soccer Park. They need that rec program to keep chugging along. I don’t imagine they are in real danger of suspending operations, but they certainly may need to make some tough cuts if next season has issues. |
| Yes. Won’t most clubs struggle if fall doesn’t happen? Anyhow, me thinks an FCV parent started this thread. Nice try. |
| Any word on a possible increase in ECNL fees next year to help ease the financial burden on the club? |
| If Loudoun goes under, FCV will buy the club. FCV is cash flush. Looks like that will happen with no fall soccer. |
Saint Jimmy is probably a little cash poor right now. |
Why do say FCV is cash flush? |
We all know Loudoun is in the most trouble and they have advertised it. No revenue source and huge amounts of debt is a BIG problem. Their email was the first warning shot that the ship is taking on water. |
Thanks FCV guy. Now put down the lubriderm and towel off. Thanks. |
Nah, I’m good. Oh what, oh what will all you 07g parents do? |
Keep rubbin it out Bobby. |
| No dog in this FCV-Loudoun spat but no club is truly safe with the uncertainty ahead. A team could have a breakout which causes another team they just played to isolate, along with their parents, and all their other contacts. A coach becomes infected and all of their contacts shuts down a lot of teams at their home club and at different clubs. What if it's a referee? Clubs could suspend operations, shut down or be sold. Old rivalries may disappear without warning so enjoy this one while you got it. Happy Mother's Day! |
Replace starters on any other 07 team in the area. |
only if their coach goes along for joystick instructions from the sidelines |
Come back to brag when you can beat McLean 07. Last two times you played McLean won. |
NP - Wasn't the last game a 0-0 tie? Imagine if those two teams combined and formed a powerhouse team! |
