What the heck are our kids going to do this summer with no camps and no pools?

Anonymous
I grew up in a rural area and was by myself during the summers, no friends or camps. Just loneliness.

It's easy to say that our kids will be fine this summer without playdates or camps. But I'm worried for them, for my kids and other kids this summer. Without school, it's going to be very very hard for them.

Pools will open and so will some day camps.

Here’s hoping they’ll be able to.

Maybe they can mow the lawn or do chores instead of being mopes

I'd charge families $2,000/mo for up to 2 kids in 'camp'. Probably have 3 families at once. No kids under 5.

You’re on a parenting website and you don’t like kids?

We don't have that much lawn or that many chores (live in the city).

Is it that hard to take responsibility for your own kids?

Maybe they can go steal packages and sell the contents on eBay.

My kid are old enough to stay at home when I work but what the heck are they going to do home alone for 14 weeks? What about families with young kids? I suppose it will be a terrific time to be a college babysitter.

Wait, what? Did you get a notice of this? My girls are signed up for 3 different sessions and I havent heard anything!

Did you really want to send them?

Good thing you don’t like kids then, I guess. Good for the kids anyway.

TRUTH.

You all really need to adapt and overcome. Use your bootstraps to pull out ideas for kids!

That's really sad. I would never be on a kid-focused website if I disliked kids. Why would you take advice from breeders? /s

Mine can...with access to other kids, which they don’t have right now.
