These are called pigs in a blanket. |
Um have you had ketchup and relish? So good. |

Ewww. I thought you were going to post something that had bold flavors and crunchiness to offset the hotdog. Hotdog, chili, thinly sliced crunchy onion rings, mustard or taco meat, salsa, sour cream and tortilla chips.
Mashed potatoes are bland and mushy so I don't see how this would be appetizing on a hot dog. |
I do know that. My mom used to make them back in the 1960s but I haven't had them in quite awhile. |

I dislike most breads - hot dog buns, tortillas and pita breads.
I did make hot dogs recently, but I made absolutely flavorful paranthas to roll up the hot dogs. I used a dough which was equal quantities whole wheat flour, chickpea flour and oats fufu (african groceries aisle). I added to the dough - onions flake, red chilli flakes, salt, chopped chives and some melted butter. I made square paranthas that it was easy to roll the hot dog. My kids used the usual condiments with it. Onions and ketchup etc. I shredded onions, red cabbage, daikon with some saurkraut juice and used that. It was great. I don't understand why a hot dog is wrapped in such crappy bread? |

This is exactly how I eat them. Although I do also love a chili, cheese, onion dog. |
They do the mashed potatoes in Brazil a lot. There's really nothing they won't put on top of a hot dog...

Snort...this was awesome. Thanks for the laugh. |
| We used to get the best Italian hot dogs when I lived in Jersey. Huge hot dog in 1/2 a pita, filled with peppers, onions, and fried potatoes. Sooooo damn good! |
Haha! I was thinking of that thread! |
They actually do, it's often cleared out where I go along with everyone else. Don't speak for others. |
