Are you seriously saying that you have never seen Tory Burch flats before? Where do you live??? |
| Since they only look good with skinny pants/jeans, I hope whoever is buying them has long skinny legs!! |

Speaking of Lemmings.....
So, one person likes Tony Burch Flats and now everyone is supposed to love/like/wear these? American women do not have any clue how to dress fashionably. |
| All foreigners make sweeping generalizations about Americans. |
| I'm really surprised the Tory Burch flat trend hasn't died a natural death by now. I admit that I love ballet flats on the weekends since they are so comfortable and easy but I hate wearing anything that is so readily recognizable as a brand name, like coach bags and gucci sunglasses. I put tory burch flats in that same category. |

So, I guess I live under a rock because I have never seen these, nor have I heard of Tory Burch, and I read a fair share of fashion blogs! Now when I go out I am going to be looking at everones feet trying to see who is wearing them, lol.
I looked at the link and I don't like them too much, but I do love love love ballet flats, alot. But I just don't like the big disc on them. To each her own, though. Rock them if you want! |
oh - I'm so terribly hurt by comments from posters who are lacking taste. If you're both so into heavy crosses, may I suggest joining the Catholic church and purchasing a heavy crucifix to wear around your neck instead of your on your feet? You're more likely to draw attention to yourselves if there's a large object adorning your chest area, especially if you're both well endowed. honestly? Both of you must be fashion disasters, and I think even a Walmart may be too good for you. |

We had this discussion six months ago.

I think Tory Burch flats are hideous. And the new "Uggs" (i.e. everywhere and over worn). I generally do not like ballet flats on me b/c I'm short and not a size 2-6 (i'm an 8 but they are not flattering on me). Would love to have the legs to pull them off. But, I do not. |

I think they are ugly too - but most importantly, they aren't terribly comfortable or good for your feet.
If you want to spend $200 on flats, why not get some that are both attractive and good for your feet - like Cole Haan? http://www.colehaan.com/colehaan/catalog/pwp.jsp?l=shop,pwp,c-/hf-10001+70016+4294966391/t-WOMEN%7CBALLETS |

It's the damn name of them that's making women buy them. "Ballerina Flats" it's like men buying "Stud Body Wash" in hopes to be a Stud.
Women are buying these because they want to feel...well, like a ballerina and these shoes must be the key! Who cares if Im 5'2 and 195lbs...These shoes will make me look petite and graceful. |
|
Ballerina flats were named because they look like the practice shoes of dancers. They go back to the 1940's and were a comfortable option to get women out of the high heels they were wearing. They are classics and never go out of style.
And no, women don't buy them because of the name. They buy them because they are comfortable and a great option for when you don't want heels. |
| Yeah, to be honest ballerinas never enter my mind when I think about ballet flats. I just think of them as a type of shoe, like a pump or platform or loafer, etc. |
Which you can judge by a post about where you live, which sounds like it was intended to be funny? And you're somehow dragging religion into it? You're clearly an idiot. |
