Those Tory Burch flats with the gigantic logo remind me of Flava Flav and his medallion

Is this the 40 yr old woman's answer to gigantic hair bows?

I don't really get the appeal either, but to each their own...

I don't like them either, but I appear to be in a minority of women.

i wouldn't choose them but don't mind them so much. But I tend to see them on high school and college girls more than 40 year olds.

How could you NOT love Tory Burch shoes? They are adorable!

My husband loathes them (any flat shoe for that matter) and although I dont love them, i have a few pairs bc they are the perfect shoe to run after toddlers and carrying a newborn in without looking like I am going to the gym (in which I look like all the time, other than outings on the weekend - in which case it is jeans and tory burch). I would say they are practical and trendy but nothing more.

I am 44. I love them. They are comfy and fun because they come in so many colors. Many people don't like them because they have become so common but that does not bother me.

op back again -- it's the LOGO that is bewildering. You know, the 3 inch diameter bright gold one on each foot? I don't get why the seemingly intelligent, educated 40ish women want to serve as no-cost billboards for the company, kind of like like a rapper incessantly talkin' 'bout his 'Benz and Kristal ....

There are attractive leather ballerina flats that cost $20 at Old Navy or $400 at Barneys, and everything in between without the f'in MEDALLION. The fact that so many women around here keep reaching for the MEDALLION make me think that they want us to know something.

They are terrible! IMO a ballerina flat is celebrated for it's simplicity. The color and texture of the leather should give it it's personality, not a tacky hunk of metal.

I enjoy wearing my TB patent flats. Gotta wonder who would care.

To each her own, I guess - I like these shoes, but I have to say they're the least comfortable flats I own, and I've never had a pair of shoes hurt so much as I broke them in. Not all of the TB flats have the metal medallion - mine are patent leather and the medallion is also patent, so blends in a bit more.

Agreed.

Oh please. You think people don't judge dress and shoes everyday, you're kidding yourself. Even if not malicious, everyone has an opinion on what they like/don't like. That's life. And, that's all this is.

I love them and notice them on all sorts of interesting, accomplished and wealthy women, so I'm not surprised by the bitter comments here.

They're cute and easy and comfy and becoming classics.

Okay...someone who spends HUNDREDS of dollars on shoes...can't really throw around the..."their just shoes, I cant believe anyone would care!" Because clearly someone who spends that much money on some fugly shoes CARES.

On that note, I'd rather wear these than any of those Tory Burch shoes.
