So sad.
We all believe the outcome of this, sadly.

Not great conditions to go out in a kayak yesterday. How awful.

Wow, how awful

Really sad.

I'm wondering where were the rest of the family at this point? If they were all outside kicking a ball around, shouldn't someone have called for help earlier?
Anonymous
I wonder if they were wearing life vests.

The article said other children were also kicking the ball. Didn’t anyone notice they got swept out ? When they were out of sight no one told an adult?

Have bodies been found

Oh man this is awful. I really hope they didn’t let that 8 year old get in a boat of any kind without a life jacket. Tragic. That poor family.

No.

The Bay is virtually empty right now. No pleasure craft due to Coronavirus limits and no fisherman due to a small craft warning (weather is awful out there).

May their souls rest in peace. Please pray.

Two other children were younger than 8. There might have been delay in finding another adult to help.

+1, they are so incredibly dangerous. And they’ve gotten so popular now, with everyone thinking they can do it, and then you get things like this happening.

The CPSC really needs to outlaw them, like they did with lawn darts.
