cold "hottest topics"

Yay! I've always thought that recent topics should be longer but never thought to ask. Lots of people just go to recent topics and don't look beyond it, which sucks if you post something and your thread gets bumped off of recent topicst.

If you do change the hottest topics, what about making it for the past 30 days or so like you were thinking but then converting what is currently hottest topics into a "hall of fame"?

That's basically what I was planning to do. However, I might end up just modifying the existing Hottest topics since that will be easier.

I don't know about all these new forums or a forum for new forums but I do wonder what you look like naked sometimes, Jeff. Maria, my apologies, I just got out of prison and haven't eaten in a few days.

Humm, if you are suggesting a forum in which I will appear naked, I have to warn you that such a forum could also double as the "induce immediate vomiting" forum. You might not want that on an empty stomach.

I think it would be nice to have hottest topics be those with the greatest views that week. That way is reflects what is hot. The current list reflects what may have been majorly hot in 2007.

I just recently checked back in after a hiatus from DCUM. I miss the old "Hottest Topics" (which tracked from the beginning of time). All the newbies to DCUM miss all the fun. Can't we have two types of Hottest Topics. The one tracking only from the last few months and one tracking from the beginning of time?

Creating a page with the old list is on my list of things to do, but probably not going to happen for a while.
