| I think this is a bit relative. City-dwellers would consider Chanel, etc to be luxury, but that's so unattainable in most of the country that its not even on the radar. Kate Spade is recognizable and "affordable luxury." |
There are Chanel outlets as well. |
| I'm surprised you are hearing a lot about the brand OP. It seemed much more popular about 10 years ago. I think it was more of a luxury brand before it was sold around 15 years ago. Definitely not now. The outlets proliferated after the sale. Kate Spade committed suicide nearly 2 years ago - not sure if that's had a negative impact on sales. |
| Kate Spade & Coach (along with Stuart Weitzman) are both part of Tapestry, so basically they are on par. |
| It might be a stretch to call any of these brands luxury, but they are all the same kind of high end. |
| Luxury for college girls maybe. Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Hermès etc are luxury and my vice !! Love love love .. |
|
I think of Kate Spade as a very young woman's brand: teens through college.
This is maybe because I got the original black KS Sam bag in high school, and loved it sooooo much. I had a few more KS bags in college. I don't see them as sophisticated, and certainly not luxury. But they're fun. |

It’s the Colombian knockoff version. |

Mom's caregiver CNA's all have Coach, Kate Spade and LV
