Implantation failure_Secondary unexplained infertility

Best of luck to PP and OP. This can be a long, hard road that many of us know well. OP, try not to put too much pressure on yourself on any single round. Sometimes IVF can take a while with multiple attempts. You can do this.

How long have you tried for? My first I needed clomid because I never got my period after going off birth control, but conceived immediately once I took that. For my second, my periods were normal, my hormones including thyroid were normal, dye study showed no problems etc. My husband’s sperm count and vitality were such - combined with insurance that limited fertility treatments in a way that IUI would reduce IVF funds - that we decided to go straight to an IVF consult after a year of actively trying and another 6-8 months of not preventing. We also weren’t sure if we were ready for IVF vs stopping at one. I couldn’t get in for 8 weeks. A few hours before my appointment (after 14 MOs of trying) I found out I was pregnant. Still unexplained but got lucky. I hope the same to you!!

Sorry PP. My beta is in 2 days. And until then I still have to continue the meds that give me all pregnancy symtoms (breast pain, back pain, drowsy all day.) I just put too much hope on this cycle after years of trying thinking ivf would fix whatever it is. On top of that, driving through heavy DC traffic each day for monitorings adds another layer of stress.

It's unexplained, so no, not male factor.
