Why do you think ASA players should be entitled to spots for something that should be solely merit based? I know in US soccer most is political—but still I would expect them to look outside—it’s the job of anyone with “da”.

This is why parents should only care about their kid’s individual development U9-u12 and not the most winning teams or big names.

50% or more of red U12 will be in U13 DA team for the next season. Applied to Arlington Soccer for multiple seasons and for Boys and Girls. FACT

They said they were going to make offers to 5-6 girls this week. That’s about 1/2 the red. I read it as offers to girls from outside the club(lock them up early). Arlington red players are not going anywhere.

This is not right. They had originally said they would offer 8-10 girls this week, but email last night indicated that they had decided to hold off and that they are not going to extend any offers until after Jeff Cup.

They are offering the top players they saw at ID sessions to ensure they don't go elsewhere. That happens everywhere. I will say though I never pay attention to numbers of offers or dates as clubs often say one thing and do another.

That's exactly what will happen for the outsiders. ARL players will find out last unless you're a phenom that is actively shopping yourself around. But that could also come across as disloyal. It's another way to ensure ARL players try show well for Jeff Cup.

Right after they beat U11 Arlington Reds (which the boys just did in November). Where do those Arlington kids go when the PAC kids replace them?

Yes, if you are red you are good to go. They are very happy with the current red team.
