Imagine living your life paralyzed by irrational fear to the point where being afraid of something that has a 0.0002% chance of happening (and an even smaller chance than that if you're not a drug dealer or gang member) is more important than something like walkability which has a guaranteed, direct, significant positive impact on your life literally every day.

I hope nobody shows you the statistics on how much more likely you are to die in a car crash because you have to drive everywhere living in the suburbs. You'll have to move to a bunker somewhere and never leave.

They should probably increase them - the city's budget is $15.5 billion and it is a TINY city. I don't see why they couldn't afford a good-sized force. Bring back the vice cops and get the laws changed so repeat offenders aren't back on the street tomorrow.

DC has far more officers per capita than any major US city. They probably need to do a better job of utilizing and allocating the resources they have.

We'll be in Maine summering at the lake house with friends and family but it does make me wonder if crime will rise exponentially in DC for summer 2020.

Anything involving POC is presumably drug related. Scratch rage or resentment or lust or love. Always drug related. Only Caucasians commit crimes of passion which, coincidentally, are often perceived as somewhat “understandable” because obviously the person wasn’t in their right frame of mind...he/she isn’t so bad
