DP. I support both. Bloomberg is still sharp, while it's pretty obvious that Biden has lost a step, and his polling hasn't resulted in primary victories so far. My whole household agrees that, while Bloomberg could have answered some debate questions better, he wasn't near as bad as the media pundits are claiming. Democrats are dumb to support the piling up on him by lower polling candidates. |
Warren can dig out the rot; Bloomberg is part of the rot. Why do you think he’s running? |
| Mike was a complete disaster. |

Warren can dig out the rot; Bloomberg is part of the rot. Why do you think he’s running?
For the same reason everyone else is: to get Trump out of office. He already said he will back whomever the final nominee is, so he gets points for that. He is allowed a shot at this. Warren can dig out the rot. She’s brilliant and tough and has what it takes. She knows how to work across the aisle. But she will have more glass ceilings to break through than Bloomberg with the fires up GOP base. Just like Amy. And the GOP has set their affection upon Biden. Pete is creative and smart enough to do it, mainly by sparking hope in people, a rare talent. But he’s green behind the ears, the world isn’t ready for him, sadly because he is gay. It pisses me off. I don’t agree with the judgment for each candidate, but I understand and respect differing positions and their implications. My feelings have nothing to do with it. The rational side simplifies this discussion: pick the person who will remove Trump easiest and be effective in healing the USA, saving our planet, growing our economy, moving forward. Independents will like the Republican in Bloomberg and Never Trumpettes will support him. Again, just one theory out of many. Who really ever knows. But if I had to vote TODAY - I would vote for Bloomberg. |
ou think Bloomberg is sharp because he has not put himself out there. Time will show you that Biden is sharper. Watch the next debate. Unfortunately, it will soon be too late for both of them because Bloomberg is taking votes from Biden and guaranteeing Sanders gets more delegates than either of them. If Bloomberg's real purpose was to beat Trump, he would realize that as a moderate candidate, joining a race already filled with moderate candidates ensures that moderate cnadidates stand no chance against Sanders. He should have backed Biden and spent his ads lifting Biden up. He saw the numbers. He sees them now. His candidacy is a disaster for the moderate platform. And there will be nothing more divisive than a brokered convention in which Sanders is leading the others by a wide margin, and the party leaders pick someonelse... |
| ^^ I actually strongly agree with this. But, egos. What can you do? He isn’t the only one that has one up there. That’s what sucks about great leaders, they’re all a little (I’m being kind) narcissistic. |
Actually, there is something moderate voters can do. They can all vote for Biden now before it is too late. It's either that or they guarantee a Sanders victory. |
This would be a good idea if Joe Biden didn't come across to voters as senile. If you want an example of this, see the Biden "leg hairs" video from 2017. |
That’s a really strong statement. |
Yet he is the only candidate (Bloomberg included)who will definitely beat Trump. A few others probably or possible will, but moderates cannot gamble with this. I am focused with moderates because Biden is a candidate that represents their ideologies so it is easier to ask them to make this fairly reasonable decision. It's harder to ask a Sanders/Warren supporter to give up their candidate in support of Biden because there are greater differences there. But it should not be so hard to give up Buttigieg, Klobuchar or Bloomberg for Biden. Their ideologies are similar enough. Moderates have no reason to mess this up. Biden coming across as "senile" is not reason enough. |
| If Democrats fall for Bloomberg, they can go ahead and admit that all the concern about trump being a racist and sexist wasnt genuine. |
|
I support him because he is the only one I hope may NOT open the floodgates for illegal immigration.
He has enough common sense to not immediately remove all Trump’s safeguards. I don’t support trump because he is neither too effective nor too smart in curbing the illegal immigration. But at least he is trying, and I want someone who at least won’t immediately welcome them with open arms. |
Considering that Trump actually employs illegal immigrants, it's not illogical to think that the reason why he's ineffective at stopping illegal immigration is not because he's not smart enough, it's because he doesn't want to lose a cheap source of labor. |
|
He's going to buy the nomination, folks. Just accept it.
Whether he can win or not, I can't say for sure. But he IS going to be the nominee. And the sooner everyone just accepts it and gets over their hurt feelings, the better. |
Ha! Did you see his 78 year old butt get stomped on the debate stage? This guy has no clue about how to win votes outside of NYC. He is awful. Based on the first couple of states I look at this as a Bernie vs. Buttigieg race. Why? Because they are the two that seem capable of getting voters to vote for them. Bloomberg was certainly known to NH voters and he got all of 1.6% via write ins. |
