Pride Lacrosse Rumors

Ouch. That’s a huge drop.Are the 2023s ranked?

2023’s are a top 20/25 or so team. They would likely benefit from Pride playing/placing them in some tougher brackets, as when they were in tournaments in the fall, I don’t think they beat any teams that are generally considered inside of the top ten, but they also didn’t get a lot of chances against top competition.

This is a pile of crazy. It’s not surprising the 2022s are still building. It was the first year. But my younger DD told me that she can never try out for another team, because “she’ll” find out and get cut. DD loves the game, and her team, but that pressure is nuts.

Wow, the number of straight up lies on this thread is incredible, but of course that's what it's designed to do. Might be time for a moderator to step in.

It’s the second year for the 2022s (Fall ‘18- Summer’19). The first year they finished ranked higher than they are now. What changed?

Sad, but true...

Save your money. Don't be a lemming. Avoid club lax and stick with school and development training only. These are businesses whose primary goal - especially now that they are all for-profit in the area - is to separate you and your DD from your money. Saner and cheaper choice. Stay little longer and let them enjoy their youth.

Sorry you feel that way and you choose to shortchange your daughter that way. Maybe playing lacrosse beyond middle school is not for her. Maybe she's just not that good.

For those who want to make something of lacrosse, Pride is great. Great training, great leadership, great tournaments and great people. Pride is growing and now has teams from Baltimore to Loudoun that want to be part of this experience.

Pride rules. Other clubs don't.

Is anyone else concerned about the intensity of the conditioning and amount of reps at Pride? We have seen a rash of over use injuries team. I have heard from other parents on older teams its an issue. Interested in peoples thoughts. Hate seeing kids burn out of a sport.

To the person who responded Fake News to over use injuries your crazy. Multiple players on my DD team have plate development issues and I have been told the Dr's are saying overuse is part of the problem. My team since joining Pride has doubled its work load and my daughter feels the stress in her body. Especially her hip and knees.

Then take her off the team or complain to the owner or have her rest for a couple of weeks.
