AAP Submission

Our AART said she will send home with the kid end of Feb - early March.

DS reported that he had substitute teachers on Friday. He thought it was strange since he saw both his teachers at school, he is in a language immersion program and has 2 teachers. He is guessing they were in meetings all day. I am guessing they were doing AAP packets.

Most likely it was grade level planning since it is the beginning of third quarter.

They had Monday and Tuesday off for grades and planning but who knows. It was my best guess as to why the second grade teachers were not in class but at school.

Each school has its own set of rules. You will have to ask your AART or principal. At our school, you can definitely get a copy of your child's entire packet after hearing back as to whether they were accepted or not. I have never requested the packet earlier than that, so I am not sure what their policy is on that.

It is too early for a packet right now - they have not finished putting them together - so if you are asking for a copy now, it makes sense they don't want to waste their time making a copy of an incomplete packet for you.
Going back a few years, you should be able to get a copy of the packet once it's sent to the central selection committee? Why now.. well if your kid's teacher gave them GBRS low scores you can start documenting what you are seeing as parent now to later add to an appeal if not offered AAP in April.
