Colin 'CJ' Haynie, 16, has been charged as an adult over the murder of his mother and three siblings - aged aged 12, 14 and 15 - and the attempted killing of his father.

Prosecutors have revealed the teen skipped school in order to carry out the horror killings on January 17 in the family's home near the small town of Grantsville, west of Salt Lake City.

Honestly I feel that the skipping school pales into insignificance compared to the horrific murder of your family.

I think the point about skipping school was that this was premeditated.

stop with the toxic masculinity BS! this is mental illness, pure and simple.

So many females commit heinous crimes, so is that toxic femininity?

One didn’t, he used a knife, but don’t let facts get in your way.

Look at the proportions. Maybe when they are close to equal, we’ll consider your proposal.

I bet you will find out these boys were taking some sort of add medication and or depression medication. Too many kids on meds.

that's a pretty effed up and ignorant thing you just said. it's the ones NOT on medication when they clearly need it, that you need to worry about.

Just because someone is on meds, it doesn't mean its the proper dose.

For the first kid, that's a lot of people to kill by stabbing.

Plenty of men and teen boys killed their families prior to the advent of meds.

And yet the people who murder or violently attack others are overwhelmingly male.

I don’t really understand how that happens because the other boys were the same age and likely the same size. How? I can’t even.

NP. Do mentally ill teen girls do this?

No, it's just the boys. It's male entitlement, and toxic masculinity. Entitled boys who have been taught that it's ok to take your sh!t out on other people if you don't get your way.

They get their boyfriends to do it.

When the rates of females doing this exceeds the rate of males, we might call it that. Meanwhile, make perpetrators vastly outnumber female. You need to acknowledge that this is a disproportionately male problem.

+1. We aren’t talking about cattiness or spreading rumors. That seems to be the way women work out their cruelty, for the most part. We are talking about murder, which is an overwhelming male-perpetrated crime.
