Disagree - its good for both of them.

What is good about a 4 year old boy watching his sister pee? Or vice versa? Weirdos.

That is what you took from the PP response?

The women’s room (with a woman) is always the safest and cleanest.

No matter the gender go to the women's room. Much safer.

Boys should never be in a men's room without an adult.

HAHAHA. What?

Americans are so weird.

They don’t want girls to learn too early that men always get done pee on the floor.

No, they don’t want to be in a position to be accused of something. Take the child in the handicapped stall, wash hands there and get out.

This. It’s rude to the men who are in there.

I wouldn’t let my 8 year old take my 4 year old into any public restroom.

How was I supposed to interpret it?

What?! So your 8 year old son uses the women's room instead?! That's inappropriate in my opinion. Plus, this is the reason for the very long lines at every women's bathroom and no lines at the men's.

Disagree. Law in most states says that 8 is old enough to be fine n their ow, but somewhere between 11 and 13 to babysit.

Kids face the door, just like with a parent?

I don't have a issue with an 8 year old going into either gender but the parents should be taking the kids, not an 8 year old.

Most women, except for the most extreme and most scared of even little boys, will understand. There are stalls, versus men's rooms where you have to see men pull it out.

If the restroom is a single toilet with a door that locks, I don't think it matters.

This. Heck, I wouldn't care if an 8 year old boy and his 4 year old brother went in the women's room.

1) An 8 year old girl taking her 4 year old brother to the women's room

2) An 8 year old girl taking her 4 year old brother to the men's room

3) An 8 year old boy taking his 4 year old sister to the men's room

Those are all right except for #2. An 8 year old girl is too old to be in the men's room but not a 4 year old. I see dads take girls around 4 into the men's room all the time.
