Mdx with captains chairs |
The minivan is awesome but only the Siena offers AWD. It does great in snow and ice. |
I had three car seats in the back of a volvo cross country. Worked fine if you are anti-mini van |
I have three in car seats and have the Odyssey Elite and love it. However, i can get up the steep ramp to the parking deck at my kids’ school in the winter because it’s too heavy on icy inclines. It won’t work for you. |
We went with something else but out of all the SUVS, I was surprised this was my favorite. We also considered the Explorer, Arcadia and a few others. |
Op, i understand. My driveway is really steep too. You cant climb without 4wd ir awd in the winter. We get snow more often than dc although i work in dc. I had this dilemna and went with a pick up truck. I think you could look at the vw atlas. |
I love my Pacifica. Get the van! |
This should say “can’t get up.” The Honda Odyssey is not suitable for steep inclines in the winter, as glorious as it is for lots of car seats. |
The Toyota Sienna comes with AWD.
Supposedly Chrysler is adding AWD to the Pacifica for the 2021 models. |
We are in the same situation (3 kids 5 and under) and just bought a Hyundai Palisade. It's a large SUV and has been an adjustment for me after having driven a compact car previously. But so far it's working out well. We put our oldest son in the back row, since he can buckle himself and just needs a hand with unbuckling. Baby and 3 year old are in car seats in the middle captain's chairs.
Whatever you get, I'd definitely suggest getting captain's chairs for the middle row, as it will make accessing the back row much easier for everyone. |
My friend has three kids in carseats and has a Sienna with AWD in rural upstate NY. |
Mercedes GLS
Audi Q7 Volvo XC90 Honda Pilot Tesla Y |
Nobody thinks you’re cool while you’re hauling three kids around. Just get the van. |
Land Rovers fit three car seats across with space. |
I do think the vans of today are much better looking than they used to be so there's that. |
