Oh shut up, troll |
This happened to us, though kids were a bit older and the forum related to a shared interest. Was a number, because we booked first but hadn’t sent out invites yet. Friends booked second ( they didn’t know about our party) but were more on the ball with their invites. It was truly no big deal. Kids enjoyed it and parents chuckled. It was a “great minds think alike” moment. |
i get why you are upset. It’s just bad luck and it sucks. Nothing to be done esp if the other kid’s party is before yours. |
While certainly not the most erudite post, I don't think the person you responded to was a troll -- which, contrary to what you appear to believe, does not mean someone who disagrees with you. |
If it’s the same play or movie, there’s a problem. Different play or movie, same active thing (jumping Joey, sky zone, etc), heck even the same museum or nature center could be fun. |
At our preschool, 90% of parties are at the same bouncy place. I once had to go there Saturday morning for a 3rd birthday, Saturday afternoon for a 5th birthday, and then again Sunday afternoon for another 5th birthday. My DD and her preschool BFF just went ahead and had a joint party to save some money and trouble. It's FINE. |
I got a vday party for 4pm Saturday when I had booked ours to be 11am the very next day. Similar indoor play place popular with 4 year olds. Since I had not sent out the invites yet, I actually changed the date for my party, had it a few weeks later. We had high attendance. I think we would have had lower attendance if it was the same weekend. |
I don’t think it matters. Most parties we go to are at the same 1 or 2 places. |
