OK. I'm sorry to pooh-pooh this, but handprints are the hardest damn thing to get off of stainless steel. Wiping will not do it. Come over to my house and I'll show you my collection. Buy some stainless steel cleaner, and if they still show up, then we'll talk!

Okay, tonight I had my friends over and as I wiping down the refrigerator (stainless steel), we noticed two handprints of little children (like toddlers) and they wouldn't wipe off. They're like impressions of little hands right at the bottom of the fridge. The old owners had no children (just dogs) and the fridge is only 2 years old. Anyway, even if these were visitors' handprints, we could not wipe them off. We wiped the fridge clean, and then as it dried the little hand prints came back.

...so my point is...this is really creepy, right?

Could the old owners have had grand kids, or friends with kids, or knew people with kids. I mean, it's not that weird for people without kids to have kids in their house at times.

I am the OP, and I kinda agree with you. A lot of my ancestors were unpleasant when they were alive. I certainly don't want them looking over me now...
