I have to disagree. A good experienced tutor can pin point weaknesses even for high performing kids

Any recommendations?

Where are you? I do have a name if MoCo.

Fairfax county. DC goes to TJ. Somewhere near TJ or in FFX county area for weekend classes would be great! MD would work if weekend classes are available.

Don't know any VA place but this is what we used for DC.

Probably too far from VA. DC went to a MoCo magnet.

Thanks! what were your outcomes? Did you see a substantive change to an already good/high score?

Dc took ACT. She was already getting composites score of 35 (sub scores 34/35) as a 10th grade. She ended up getting 36 (sub scores of all 36) as a junior. I honestly couldn’t tell you how much of that was her own studying/growth and how much was one-on-one. She only did a few hours of 1/1.

Not my experience. My very bright but very average processing speed kid got a 1490 on the first try with no prep at all.

Mistakes DO happen.
