I would set up FB so he cannot see your posts, but not block. I would do same for his family and his close friends. I also think opening a new account under a different name is a great idea and make new one more active. A friend of mine made her account inactive for a few months and took a peaceful break. She then opened a new account and rarely posted on old account. Your controlling ex does not need to know anything about you except what involves your children. You are in charge of your life, not him.
