Final vote is right before Christmas, and this preliminary vote was 12-0 Are you really going to try and convince anyone here that this doesn't mean Jack is out?!?!

Someone, who? |
| I thought this might happen when he refused to answer any more questions about his dealings. Anyone have a guess about whether he’ll end up in prison or have a second career as a lobbyist for Colonial Parking, Maret etc. |
| When the FBI investigates elected officials and the resolution is a plea bargain, if there is a guilty plea to criminal acts it's almost guaranteed that part of the deal is the official has to resign their post. If Jack resigns before negotiating his plea deal he loses that bargaining chip. |
And if he’s removed from office in time for Christmas, then he is really S.O.L. |
| Doesn’t seem like he’ll go quietly. Wotp is reporting that he challenged thousands of signatures on his recall petition and now the recall petition doesn’t have enough to go forward. |
Do DC council members have to pass through the metal detectors at the Wilson Building ? Because Evans fits the exact profile of a workplace shooter. |
| After ignoring his corruption for years, the Washington Post finally gets on the ball with an editorial asking for his resignation. |
| Is he gone yet? |
Not even close. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2019/12/10/politics/jack-evans-dc-scandal-explained/index.html

Jack will try to enjoy the holidays as best he can, while his lawyers try to cut a plea deal with federal prosecutors ahead of a probable indictment. Then he will resign in January. |
And meanwhile Maret parents will enjoy the fruits of his corruption in the form of the Jelleff deal, which I understand was so many years ago that it wasn’t part of the federal investigation into Maret’s corruption. |
| Don't forget the metro riders who now have fun animated advertisements. |
At the aotomated station announcements were an improvement over the intelligible, slurred “speech” of many of the train operators! |
Typos corrected in above. |
