Womanizers Who Eventually Get Married

Anonymous
I dated one like this too. I heard through the grapevine that his long term girlfriend turned 40 and threatened to leave unless he married her. He's 64 now and his wife just had a girl (ha!). He's still emailing me from time to time, although we broke up over 15 years ago and I'm happily married with someone around my age.
Our moms are friends.

Man I had one of these in my life too. We had a fling when we were young and I guess he never fully let me go, but he also emailed me from time to time to, brag, I guess? about his extramarital exploits. I think he wanted a normal life with wife and kids but also not to give anything up.

UGH no. I was young and stupid and he has no redeeming qualities. I fantasize about revenge, though. I and a lot of other women he dated have all said to each other how much we want him to be miserable for once, the way he made us miserable. Alas. Someone loves him enough to marry him.

yeah, not buying it sister.

I suppose some of this describes me when I was younger although none of the women were ever my girlfriend nor was there any exclusivity. I generally went out with lower quality women almost exclusively for the sex.

I started dating a much higher quality woman who is now my wife and whom I have two wonderful children with and I have not nor do I intend on cheating on her. As to the question of why get married, we are an excellent match and our values on many things are aligned.

I’ve come to realize my cheating ex loves the drama. And he prefers married women. Exciting. Apparently

Girl, you need to heal. Ten years is waaaay too long to be lugging this around.

Uhm, there are several. She asks why these men get married if they're just going to f*ck randos anyway.

It’s possible for people to grow out of that or to meet the right one. Op can’t accept that she wasn’t the right one.

OP, I had an ex like this. I do believe he is a narcissist. I found out he got married and was pretty shocked, but I know he must be cheating. I think he is a true sociopath, and I could see him murdering his wife without any remorse.

I also have an ex like this from high school (now mid 30s). He was VERY charming, VERY attra rice, VERY good in bed and the first man I fell head over heals for in high school. Aw dumb love. I look up his FB page every now and then. It's like a soap opera I keep turning into. Most recently last year, he had gotten someone pregnant a few months after meeting and got married (his second marriage- first was right out of hs and he cheated on her plenty, also had a kid with) I noticed a few weeks ago that he deleted his fb suddenly and the second wife scrubbed all traces of him from her page so that sure didn't take long.

I do think there's some personality defect at play. Narcissistic or borderline personality or something.

My ex was like this too. I’m pretty sure his wife is on this site. Girl he tried to sleep with me up until the day you guys got married. I’m sure he is still cheating.

It sounds a lot like sour grapes on your part. This is still all about you.
