Breakfast sandwich maker for teen?

PP again

I didn’t answer your questions.

Can’t speak for all of them, but the Hamilton Beech one does not leak. Five minutes for the sandwich and make sure it is hot. Easy to use and easy to clean. Read the reviews. They are accurate.

NP, but do you need to use English muffins in it? Or can you use any bread? Bagels?

Also, for those that say kitchen appliances are a lousy gift. I still have the waffle maker that Santa brought me for Christmas when I was 11 or 12. And, yes, that was my "main gift." When Shrek came out many years later and Donkey said "In the morning...I'm making WAFFLES," I was like, "Donkey, I get you."

Know your kid. I’m having flashbacks of when DC was little and I got the easy bake oven thinking it would be great. “Why wouldn’t I use the regular oven to bake instead of this little thing?” I feel like this would be the same. It seems easier to make it in a pan.

Hey, my teen DS asked for a new ceiling fan for his room for Xmas this year. I asked for a lawn mower for my sweet 16 (and I'm female).

You know what OP, your teen may like it, may not. My tween wanted a smoothie maker last year and she's used it maybe three times. Some gifts are home runs, others aren't. I say unless it's super expensive, go for it.

OP again.

So... my teen walked up behind me yesterday and glimpsed the photo I posted on the first page, and without reading any of the posts, he exclaimed: "Hey, breakfast sandwich maker! I want that!"

I guess it's decided

You can use bread, bagels, croissants, English muffins. It comes with a recipe book.

As someone who owns this, no I don't think a breakfast sandwich is easier to make in a pan personally.

Plus my elementary school age kids can use this on their own without turning on the stovetop/gas which I prefer.

Yes definitely.

My kids teens use it.

Easier than a toaster and a frying pan? Or even a microwave?

If you need a recipe book to make breakfast sandwiches, there's truly no hope for you.

Yes! Truly

I have one of the ones that you can use in the microwave. It’s easy but not as good and you have to toast the muffins separately. And much easier to clean than the pan.

This

My kid can make herself one of these and I don’t have to worry about the stove being on. Which I prefer if she is home alone after school.

I think the Hamilton beach one really only works well with English muffins. We’ve tried mini bagels and they are too thick to shut.
