Sure you're not. The post could have said anything: Metro United does, my dD does and they do, anything, but mentioned "the 07 play up" (which by the way, there are five of them) is unnecessary. And I'm not even sure that sells it or detracts from the club.

And most of the playups at Metro are midfielders.

I've seen the gambit: there's a forward, some defenders, everything. Again, think coaching decisions. What are the MU coaches doing in terms of formation, instructions, style, that is midfielder friendly? A lot of the team's I've seen play long balls out of the back, so that is not a "midfield" centric style. Maybe that's why midfielders are playing up. They aren't part of the action anyways.

Why do the FCV coaches keep fawning over the Metro midfielders that are playing up? Trying to save them?

The only midfielders FCV got from Metro are either non-starter 11 or part timers.

In general yes that's true but I have seen their u13 girls team play and there was an awful lot of punts and long balls.

That's a valid point. Given most of their teams don't play that way and u13 is young, I wonder if that team just hasn't caught on to the system. Might be worth talking it through with them. As a club, I see them emphasize development.

Might be worth reaching out to them. I have noticed they move players around in trainings to whatever the player needs and if one group isn't technical but she is, they may move her to whatever is a good fit.

What a bizarre, hateful post. It's logical. He didn't say what level she wants to play at, but unless she is shooting for DA or ECNL, it's a good choice. If she does want DA or ECNL, then obviously Barca isn't a good fit. Not all families want to travel the continental U.S. for U13 and at that age, a smaller developmental club makes sense.

Arlington favors direct play. Alexandria might be a good choice. I think their Futsal emphasis suggests a more technical style of play, if that location is a good fit. I don't remember SYC or Vienna being a possession/midfield style.
