This. We can’t trust them to make safe baby food, but cars are okay???

absurd to pay 20k more unless you’re seeking some kind of status from a Volvo. Read reviews from credible sources.

Thank you, yes I have read many reviews from solid sources, but I would love to hear from anyone who actually owns and drives either one of these cars. Thanks!

I have had a CRV for two years and it is great. Drives great, decent mileage, comfortable, good storage space in the back. In the trim level I got it has remote start which is great in winter. The only negative I've noticed is the touchscreen can be slow and occasionally acts up. They have extended the warranty for that on my year/model which probably means this was widespread. Hopefully they have fixed that. It's a great car.

CRV or RAV4 for DD.

Transmission failures, for one thing.

Or wheel hub bearings failing.

Or CV joints failing.

I used to love Subaru, until I realized how many people besides me were having stuff fail or break before it should've.

Transmissions are a big deal. But that's a function of a bad choice to use a cvt. Wheel hubs and cv joints aren't a big deal, especially if you can turn a wrench.

Subaru has great ad campaigns, but it doesn’t make great cars. Really overrated and full of problems {now cue the posters who will anecdotally say how great their Subaru is, which they will do disproves this fact).

Say, not do. Sorry.

I own and drive one of them. It’s a good, solid vehicle. It’s a Honda. This. Isn’t. Complicated.

Drive a CRV and love it. Doesn’t feel too big to drive it in the city (used to drive an old Subaru forested). Has great safety features that come standard with the car (I think? You don’t have to buy the top level of the car to get them).

What does this mean? That the Honda is good enough for my kid but not the parent?

Fwiw, the 2020 crv has a hybrid option coming out. Expected 45 mpg.

I have a 2017 crv. I looked at a lot of vehicles. Couldn't find anything that had better value for the dollar/space/mileage/safety features. It's popular for a reason. Only wish I had splurged for the leather seats. Otherwise very happy.

CRV also uses CVT transmission. I would not expect it to last 10 years either.

The CR-V steering is exceptional.
