DH grieving over cat is starting to be too much for me to deal with

If you were my wife I’d probably drink that much too.

Hey dum-dum, you think it's about more than a cat?

It is not a competition, for crying out loud! Bcs cat loved you more, he is not allowed to mourn? Can't imagine you supportive you will be when your DH loses a parent!

It sounds like you think less of your husband because he cries. That's pretty messed up.

Yeah, the drinking and then sobbing. Not attractive.

Go to pound and get him a new cat. Problem solved.

That's what you get for marrying a man that tolerates cats.

Dogs rule.
Cats drool.

You should have led with that.

You sound mean.

Is the drinking new behavior? Since losing the cat?

Any prior losses he hasn’t dealt with?

And women wonder why men aren't willing to share their feelings?

Wait, he's drunk-crying every night and your post is about cat bereavement?

Maybe the idea is you're fine with him drunk in a corner as long as he only bothers himself but because he brings up the cat (was what your "favorite") it upsets you because your REAL partner died and he's trying to horn in on your loss. Is that what's going on here?

correction "was what" should be "which was". Or something
