For eczema, our baby's allergist recommended using cetaphil 3x a day and topping it with vaseline at night. I imagine that regimen would also work for dry skin that isn't eczema. It's made a pretty remarkable difference for us. |
Yeah, if you still have lanolin, this is the way to go. Otherwise I slather everyone with Carmex, 2 and 4 year olds included. However, since I started a preventative regimen of Eucerin Eczema 2-3 times a day (morning, after school, after bath/before bed), the face chapping has gone way down. |
Aquaphor! (It's like Windex...cures everything!) |
Aquaphor helps my DD tremendously. And talking to her about it. She went through a big licking her lips phase that we kept warning her about and ended up with a huge red ring around her lips from irritation. We were like, this is what happens when you lick! Aquaphor cleared it up and she stopped licking. |
Aquaphor is amazing as a cure and a preventative. Gob it on at night to heal and rub it in as protection, especially for cold/wind exposure or a cold. It really saves my nostrils when I have a cold. |
Raw shea butter! |
On board with all the Aquaphor recs, get the pack of 2 mini bottles and keep them in your coat pockets so you can put some on rosy cheeks whenever you need to |
OP here - thanks everyone!
Will try these suggestions - some of which I already have on had. Had not thought about the fact that she may not be drinking enough water. |
