| I love Keen shoes! |
You're right! I was one of the haters, but it really was just that first color that was kind of awful. The orange ones are awesome. Sorry PP, I should have looked further before I insulted your shoes! |
| But why does Keens do that with the toe? I've always wondered that. I'm willing to forego beauty to get comfort, but why not have the front of the shoe without the rubber thing and it would be so much cuter (or hey - maybe I am wrong). |
Well, I have the green, so now you've insulted them twice! But I'm OK with that. It's actually a forest green in real life, and it works as a neutral, which is why I got it. But I agree that the orange is cute, and I was this close to choosing it. To another poster--Keen does that with the toe, I think, because they started making outdoor shoes, and the rubber toe offers additional protection. It seems to have become a signature in their "lifestyle" shoes, as well. I agree that it's not the best aesthetic choice. I have to say that I never thought my comfort shoes would be the subject of such debate. You all are a lively bunch. |
I'm sorry!! I really shouldn't judge based on just seeing them on the web. I'm pretty out of the loop on these things (I wear Eccos, simply because I found a few pairs that were comfy and just sort of stuck with them), but I plan to try Keens next time I'm looking for shoes, in part based on this thread. I've been looking for Mary Jane-style shoes for a while and have yet to find one that's comfortable on my foot, but these look like they might be. |
