The 2003 age group seems to be dominated by FCV too with BRYC hanging in there as above average. Oldest age groups don't matter anymore. All the age groups after 2004 just have players sprinkled around amongst all the teams so no one team is above any of the others.

For the oldest teams, FCV has the top U19 team. MU doesn't come close to what they have, which is why they got boat raced in their game against each other. BRYC has a pretty strong u19 team as well, as does McLean. VDA and Loudoun, again way behind.

I agree though mostly on the 04s. MU doesn't have anything close to a competitive team. VDA is behind FCV but they aren't bad. That might be their strongest team. They stayed together since the team was first formed. Loudoun and BRYC, yep very weak teams. I wonder how a match between Loudoun and MU would turn out.

MU beat VDA. Why wouldn't they beat Loudoun?

Loudoun is better this season. They picked up some of FCV's second team players.

They beat them in a preseason scrimmage but lost to them as Spirit in a college showcase in the spring. So I consider the two to cancel each other out, until they play again, maybe this spring in the 2020 showcase.

MU has never played Loudoun at any age group actually, so I think it'd be an interesting match up.

Why would it be interesting? Neither are very good teams.

True. I already watched the redskins and dolphins play once this year.

You people are nuts. I don't have a kid at this level or playing any any of these clubs, but is a 3-1 victory really beating up another team? Look at the rosters - FCV won with an 04 roster, while Armour had at least 2 05s playing, both of whom played the entire game and one who scored. I'm Armour probably had 04s playing up too who were, therefore, not on the field against the FCV 04s. Maybe there is interested in actually developing players, rather than teams that win every game, which should be the point of all this.

I don't get all the hate.

There is a particular Pipeline booster here who that original post was likely intended for.

In general though I agree with your response.

MU lost time vda 04 4-0 in the preseason scrimmage.

Sure but it was a summer time scrimmage that everyone says didn't mean anything, and MU's roster didn't dramatically change nor did VDA's. If you want to say that MU 04s are better, that's your prerogative, but I don't count any of those summer time games from any of the club's. I'll believe MU is better if they best VDA again in another match up, if MU goes back to the VDA showcase.

Right now, with losing by 2 before, I'm not convinced.

That's fair on a certain level, but since both are in similar spots overall, I'd like to see how they do club to club. It's one of the only local club match ups that has never happened.

Last I checked, the FCV team has a couple 05s on it too.

One from loudoun and one from McLean, right Bobby?

The one from Loudoun is a stud. She's YNT. The other player is also decent, but I think she's there because the 05 team is so large. She'd probably see more time in her own age group if that team were more reasonably sized.

The game reports make it seem like those 05s are assigned to the 04 team, rather than 05s playing up in specific games. Not that it matters that much, but for the crazies who need to designate a best "team," player movement can impact the outcome.

Yes, there are two 05s that are assigned to the 04 team. One came from Loudoun and the other came from McLean. There are other 05s that also play up on that team from time to time, because the team below has a lot of players.

To be clear, there is an 05 on there that is a very talented player who is a top producer.

Ok, ok. Settle down mom. This board gets them revved up like nothing else.

Not mom, not with FCV. I gave my honest opinion of her. People can disagree.

Exactly. I also think Baltimore Armour has a very talented 04. She's even better for her age group than the 05 is for hers.
