You know what's dark that I totally just realized? The 'this little piggy' thing you do w/kids toes? It finally dawned on me that the piggy going "to market" wasn't headed to the mall!! Heading out to be made into bacon never occurred to until

I've watched Babe recently and didn't find it particularly dark. I wonder if maybe you only remembered the sweet and funny parts, so you were surprised. I don't know, my 7 year old son knows that meat comes from animals, so that part isn't shocking. Now, make a charming family movie that shows where our meat REALLY comes from, and I think I'd wait several years to show that to my kid. Talk about dark.
