Should we expect our deposit back?

If you are paying for care and they are open, you use it if you want to.

Sounds like a policy designed to limit how many children they have to watch. I too would be super turned off.

Those are the best days to use daycare. My daughter's is open for some federal holidays and my husband and I use the day to run errands and see a movie.

A couple of items were red flag but I think what pushed me was a note that said if you’re off of work, your child is expected to be with you and will not be accepted that day. Um, what? If I’m paying for a service, it’s none of your business what I’m doing during that time. I don’t want / shouldn’t have to lie because it’s none of my providers business.

That is ridiculous

How would they every know?

Maybe they mean holidays like Columbus Day, MLK day etc where not everyone gets the day off.its still none of their business if they’re charging for those days.

OP here - this is what I took it as...which some I get, some I don't. We usually drop our son's off for half-day's and will run errands, or catch up on some housework. But I don't need to explain this to my childcare provider. I'm very happy we didn't go with this provider.

May I ask which is the center that has this policy? It's outside of the norm.
