Two of my neighbors, both moms, have told me this fall when they have seen my elementary school child riding on our street without a helmet. Yes it's a bit embarrassing to me as a mom, but both my husband and I were so happy they told us. Safety before feelings. My child knows there are eyes on him when he tries to get away with that!

By kinder, the child knows the rules, but it’s up to the adult to remind the child. Most kids don’t like helmets, and unless the helmet stays on the bike handle, they will “forget.” |
Maybe the parents told her kid doesn't need to wear helmet. Mind your own damn business! |
