This happens everywhere, not central to DC.
Yes. Most likely a sales pitch for Amway. |
I initially thought they were LDS trying to recruit. |
LDS (Mormons) are usually young men (college age.) They will always be wearing a tie and a black rectangular name badge on their shirt, so they are easy to spot. Sometimes they are females (usually just slightly older than college age) that will also be wearing the name badge and dressed nicely in a modest dress/skirt. The church of LDS does not use parents of young children as missionaries. |
No but they do use high school girls in Gaithersburg, MD to recruit. Two came to my door recently and the things I could hear on my Ring door bell were scary. Ie one girls saying to the other if a male opens the door twirl your hair and you talk first since you are prettier. Also, a friends son was recruited through high school "girl friend". They are catholic, now he's Mormon girl dumped him and suggested he get comfort from Mormon Church friends. Not putting the whole blame on the Church, but the whole thing was quite orchestrated. |
OMG! Same situation at Nall’s pumpkin patch at Springfield last weekend! This woman’s husband was a dr, but the rest of it was the same! It was so weird. I didn’t know if it was leading toward some semi-harmless mlm scheme, or religion, or financial planning. Just way over sharing of information, but in a friendly manner, and tons of questions about me and my family, and just ... weird. But friendly. I was getting some strange vibes, but she seemed really nice. I kind of wanted to stay in the conversation to see where this was going. |
He told me they lived near Edison High so not too far from Nalls |
Yup! She mentioned they recently moved to near Edison! |
I'd like to follow these people home and give their address to the Jehovah's Witnesses. |
Not sure if I’m glad or relieved it seems to be one couple |
I mean disappointed or relieved. |
Oh my sweet summer child |
This is the script Amway uses but it could be a few other MLMs. I feel bad that this woman and her family are sucked into the scam but be firm that you have no interest in her scheme and leave. |
