Forbes reported on it.

WJ turf field being replaced starting in November. Midway down this page: https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/athletics/programs/default.aspx?id=542923

Last sentance under upcoming projecta: "The surface at Walter Johnson High School is scheduled for replacement during the fall of 2019." I called MCPS and was told starting in November.

I'm curious, why do you think that clubs use those fields? Do you think it's any reason other than that's all that's available to them?

The answer is, pay more taxes and run for local govt. win and make it a priority to have them fixed, or build your own fields and sell / give field time to clubs, or donate directly to have them fixed. It’s not magic. It takes money and/or control.

I'm 2:15 above, and thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm a former board member at a large DC club. Virtually all we ever did was try to find field space. It's hard to find, it's expensive. I got so tired of members who assumed that the reason we played on poor fields was that we wanted to or couldn't tell the difference.
