I'm curious, why do you think that clubs use those fields? Do you think it's any reason other than that's all that's available to them? |
| The answer is, pay more taxes and run for local govt. win and make it a priority to have them fixed, or build your own fields and sell / give field time to clubs, or donate directly to have them fixed. It’s not magic. It takes money and/or control. |
I'm 2:15 above, and thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm a former board member at a large DC club. Virtually all we ever did was try to find field space. It's hard to find, it's expensive. I got so tired of members who assumed that the reason we played on poor fields was that we wanted to or couldn't tell the difference. |
