I have no problem helping in emergencies but also have no problem saying no in non-emergencies. I truly love my nieces and nephews, my Godchildren and my friends’ children but I am not a babysitter.
Wait, so you expect a gift each from your sister, BIL, and each kid for birthdays or holidays? You know, if you don't like giving them each a gift, get them a tub of popcorn and save your passive aggressive scorn. If your family expects you to spend lots of money on gifts for them then that's a whole other issue.
