Lay lady lady is beautiful!

Now, Idiot wind, that is misogynistic, lol.

“Whatever colors you have in your mind
I show them to you and you see them shine”

“Stay with your man a while
Until the break of day
Let me see you make him smile”

I guess...

But Dylan also says:
“His clothes are dirty but his, his hands are clean
And you are the best thing that he's ever seen”
As he pleads with her to stay.

He also says:
“Why wait any longer for the world to begin
You can have your cake and eat it too
Why wait any longer for the one you love
When he's standing in front of you”
Almost sounds like it’s a man who knows he’s not perfect, perhaps even beneath this magnificent woman—
But he’s practically begging her to stay with him...sniff sniff...

Yup, its ALL about him and his dirty clothes. Her entire universe.

I still love it. Songs are for feelings and I feel this song.

Tangled Up in Blue is my favorite.

I love love love Lay Lady Lay.
I also love Sara.
They’re both so amazingly simple yet so hauntingly beautiful.

How is Idiot Wind misogynistic? Just because his lover happens to be female and he's being nasty to her doesn't mean he hates all women or that he hates her because she's a woman. I have literally never hear a misogynistic peep out of Dylan, he's very even-handed in his treatment of men and women. Female fan here.

Tangled up in blue is a favorite. But Lay Lady Lay is the sexiest song I’ve ever heard. And my sister and many friends agree.

Several years ago dc’s were young and I was on a beach week with DH’s family and I lulled myself to sleep every night with this song in my headphones. DH is a musician and a huge Dylan fan, but I thought I was having a Private Moment ...

NOW ISEE I WASNT
