N Arlington Crime Rate - Burglary from Vehicles Almost Doubled from Last Year in 22207

Anonymous
I live in one of the neighborhoods that’s been hit a lot, I just can’t get worked up about it. Obviously people shouldn’t be breaking into cars, but there’s not much the police can do when they don’t even hear about it most of the time until the next day. Our neighborhood is being targeted because too many people are still leaving valuables in their cars, making it an appealing target. If people got their heads out of their asses and stopped leaving stuff in their cars, it would end because it wouldn’t be worth it.

I don't know the veracity of these claims, but a lot of people say they're buying faraday boxes in which to store their car keys at night.

We’re seeing the same very recently in our NW DC neighborhood. People here are also swearing they locked their cars and that a device is being used to open car doors. Sometimes valuables are visible, but not every time. We’ve asked for more patrols.

I’ve had my car broken into three times now and while the first time I was pretty sure it was locked the last 2 times it was 100% definitely locked. Police said they have new tech on cell phones to boost signals from key fob. Finally gave up and bought a faraday pouch as I’m tired of my car being completely torn apart on the regular ( and no I don’t leave valuables inside). This ‘lock your doors’ business gets old when they are locked!

Arlington liberals want homeless shelters in prime locations and affordable housing in middle class areas. There are consequences

Arlington liberals are about to elect an innocence project lawyer as Commonwealth Attorney . Elections have consequences.

Crime will continue to increase and worsen.

Arlington conservatives want the perks of a classist society based purely on white privilege. Doesn’t work like that. If you want to be separated from the “lesser than’s” then you need to an income that enables you to live in an upscale community far away from them. Simply being white isn’t going to cut it.

These kids aren’t homeless.

+1

There are better uses of their time.

Like what in 22207? Practically everyday there is a new report of car break ins. The home invasion with the family inside in Adidin Manor is particularly troubling. I just had cameras installed.

I don't think a place like that exists. Crime is everywhere.

Zip code 22207 is the epicenter of a classist society based on white privilege. The fact that these breakups are occurring in an upscale community far enough from people you snidely refer to as “them” means that crime has osneyratrd the bastion of Arlington white privilege

Please don’t introduce reality into the conservation. From her liberal pedestal, PP only wishes to scold.

Is this the work of one group of three people or different groups? This seems like a lot of robberies for one group.

Maybe Vihstadt and Stamos should have won .

This is why you arrest blacks and illegals at every turn. With this President you can do this and not get brought up on BS civil rights charges.

You have to teach these people to go back to DC, PG, or Salvador.

A home invasion is worth investigating. A kid stealing $5 in change from your unlocked car is not.
